First of all, thank you for being here with me to welcome So Simple Now into the world.

After working with many amazing producers and musicians, I felt I wanted to create something for the world that was just from me. This collection of songs was recorded in a little over a year’s time in my home studio – my place to write and paint. In many ways, it is me getting back to my roots

I grew up in a small town in Southeast Kentucky and spent my childhood and teen years exploring the forests and mountains and forming a close bond with the natural world. To this day that remains one of the most sacred and important cornerstones of my creative and spiritual life.

But this album is more than just homage to my hometown. Each record I put out is a representation of where I am at this moment, as a human being, as an artist, as a songwriter as a person trying to express myself, in a world that is always changing. All of this goes into my music. What I am not able to deal with consciously, my songs seem to gently bring to my awareness and give me answers and healing. This is the alchemy of music, and I am blessed to have it in my life.

My hope is that these songs touch you in some way. Whether it’s the alchemy or the melody that you love, this record is for you. These songs are precious to me. They are my story and my legacy. Thank you for being a part of it. Thank you for the love and support. And, thank you for listening.
